About the Service
This solution, called vCloud Availability, allows data to be synchronized regularly to the vCloud environment for the purpose of saving data in a remote facility and setting up servers in the event of a disaster. The solution enables the establishment of DR services at a high level, with high availability and low costs, with one system in the main facility in Petah Tikva, to provide DR services to customer systems at the customer’s sites and another system in the secondary facility in Haifa, for the benefit of a DR solution for customers receiving service from the Petah Tikva facility.
The main advantage of using the new service is the ease of characterizing the solution, setting up the service, performing drills and recovering in the event of a disaster – even in the event that it is necessary to use the full resources during an emergency. Using the DRaaS service enables full DR at minimal cost. The cost includes a disk of the appropriate volume, a small cost for each backed up server and a small cost for resources for the backup system on the service side (Triple C facility).
